Tottenham - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Seventeenth, 4 points off the drop and then the biggest rebuild in the league: Tonali at club-record money, Mateus Fernandes at £85m, van Hecke, Robertson and more. As the resident Spurs fan I've suffered enough to tell you the truth: confidence in this XI is up and down. But there's real value buried here - Kudus with a clear run at the right wing, van Hecke reunited with De Zerbi and the £85m signing that could be vaguely useful for our draft teams.

Chelsea - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Tenth place badly understates this squad and that's exactly why the buy-low window exists. Alonso should lift the clean sheets, Palmer gets a coach who'll build everything around him and Enzo's underlying numbers are great but is he staying? Now add Morgan Rogers at a British-record £117m and some defensive reinforcements, you get one of my favourite value teams in the draft.

Everton - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Under defcon scoring, Moyes' Everton go from fantasy car boot sale to superstore - you just have to shop the right aisles. Tarkowski is exactly what the new rules were invented for, Garner adds dead-ball duty on top of the volume, and Pickford's formula simply works. I explain why Dewsbury-Hall's 151 points sit on my do-not-draft list, a couple of new additions, but still a lot of holes to fill.

Coventry - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Championship champions with 97 goals and the most watchable promoted side in years - and the second-toughest opening run in the league to greet them. Haji Wright and Simms could be the best strikers across all 3 promoted clubs (pending confirmation of who starts!), Rudoni is my promoted-side sleeper of the year and the defence is a fade until reinforcements land. The keeper is probably the only one on the board for draft day.

Newcastle - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Gordon to Barcelona, Tonali to Spurs, Trippier gone - and Bruno Guimaraes the subject of Arsenal rumours that won't stop. The draft angles are limited here with Osula and genuine options, with lots of unknowns elsewhere. A horrible opening fortnight gives way to one of the softest GW3-6 stretches anyone gets. Patience pays here.

Aston Villa - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
A high-turnover pre-season for Aston Villa with Rogers and Tielemans the notable names out the door. With that comes opportunities and with Manzambi, Gomes and Garnacho incoming, I think Villa could be in a better spot than last year, continuing under the sturdy management of Emery. Draft assets from Villa are usually quite hard to find, but I think some of these names will find their way onto our draft boards.

Brighton - 26/27 FPL Draft Pre-Season Thoughts
Brighton are an attractive proposition this draft day with draft day picks coming across all 4 positions on the pitch. There is still business to be done in attacking areas after an already busy summer of defensive moves, but there are enough reliable gems here who will find themselves well situated on draft day.

Hull City - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Promoted via a 95th-minute Wembley winner, up the hard way on one of the lowest budgets in the Championship, and most people's favourites for the drop. The draft menu is thin but not empty: McBurnie is the one real option - safe minutes, probable pens, low ceiling - while Butland behind a barrage of shots is quietly the save-points play and Lundstram could be the defcon lottery ticket. The third-toughest opening run rules out everyone else.

Crystal Palace - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Conference League winners, Europa League bound - and plundered for 2 windows running, with a new manager whose back line could reshape the value of half this squad. Sarr is the headline asset, Wharton's defcon-plus-deliveries profile is also interesting, but could he be off too? The wing-backs carry a system asterisk until we see Sage's shape, and the third-softest opening run makes the rebuilt forward line worth some late picks.

Ipswich - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Straight back up at the first attempt - then McKenna walked and Gary O'Neil arrives to install a new system in a single pre-season. Every draftable role here is currently unverifiable: the keeper spot is open, the set-piece duties are TBD, and record-buy Emersonn could be the focal point or a project. My framework is simple: avoid them early, let me monitor them hard and we'll pull any out that we need.

Fulham - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
One of the most under-discussed upheaval in the league. Silva's gone to Benfica, Arbeloa is a first-time Premier League boss, and the past 12 months have stripped out the entire dead-ball portfolio plus the No.9 - Pereira, Traore, Wilson and now Jimenez, all departed. Penalties, free-kicks and corners are open and whoever collects them gets a hidden value bump. Almost nothing to discuss for draft day. Fulham need signings ASAP!

Arsenal - 26/27 Draft FPL Pre-Season Thoughts
Reigning champions, best defence again and a 22-year drought finally put to bed - so what actually shifts on draft day? I make the case for Declan Rice as a first-round pick, flag Gabriel's set-piece reliance, weigh the Saka reliability question after a long World Cup summer and explain why the Bruno Guimarães rumours could jam the midfield. Plus the softest opening 6 in the league, and why that lifts fringe names like Eze and Madueke early doors.
